My little Lottie is One.  She has been for a while now.  I imagined I would write a post about her first year where words were able to flow freely and naturaly about the way she thoughtfully potters around the house, her little gruff voice and the way that when she cuddles me I literally stop breathing in order to not disrupt the moment, but nothing has ever been more difficult.  And now 3 months has past and she has changed again.  Willow say's "Lottie is getting a bigger girl now" because she can see it too.  She is still my little petite one, but the Big Sister, Little Sister gap is shrinking, and watching them together makes my heart grow.  They twirl together, they sit together, they share together and they laugh together and I watch quietly because it really is the most glorious thing in the world.  I watch and I thank the Unvierse that I was able to give them each other.  I could live on that feeling alone.  When Lot smiles, she smiles with all of her heart so that her little face crinkles.  She thinks that words are for other kids, but knows enough animal noises to fill a farm and half a jungle and a pointer finger that gets her everything she wants.  She is beautiful.

Lottie on her 1st Birthday

We had a party with sweet pastel colours and hot air balloons to represent her little wandering arounds, and we celebrated with the people who love her the most.  It seems too long ago to post all of the pictures, but you can see them here on the Lo & Lot Creations' Facebook page.  Thanks again Liv for the gorgeous sweet treats!

It really was a long time ago.  Busy months have been filled with a good mix of the extraordinary and the inbetween days, too many things to mention.  A whole season has passed.  Autumn.  Falling leaves have never been so much fun.  Nothing is as much fun though as it is when you experience it with little souls.  And the cycle of seasons and new beginings continues, no more amazing new begining than a new little baby.  Congratulations to Mat, Rach and Sebby on the birth of Safina Maebella, another beautiful little cousin and friend for my girls.

And speaking of new beginings, the one year anniversary for Lo & Lot Creations is fast approaching, and there are some changes in the air.  I can't wait to share them soon.  It really won't take another whole season.  I promise.

30 before 30

I am jumping on the 30 before 30 list bandwagon! With a little more time, money and 2 less children this list would have been sooooo exciting and adventurous. But with a little under 12 months left, zero dollars and my girls in tow, it is a tad tame! But here it is, and I think I might just be able to do it!

1. Learn how to use my camera
2. Plant a vege garden (and maybe some flowers too)
3. Drink a whole bottle of wine (am pretty sure I have done this many a time in a past life that didn’t involve children, but it is still on the list)
4. Go to the theatre in Melbourne
5. Make some cakepops ala bakerella
6. Complete my photo a day challenge
7. Get a teaching contract for 1 day a week
8. Go to a trivia night at a pub
9. Read a classic Jane Austin novel
10. Do a Zumba class
11. Wear a fancy hat to a high tea in a garden
12. Attend a charity night
13. Take a photo of a sunrise and a sunset over sea on the same day
14. Make a will
15. Walk a 10k fun run (and run a little too)
16. Create a dessert table that is featured on one of my favourite party blogs
17. Learn to play a tune on the Ukulele
18. Finish a new little crafty project
19. Visit a psychic
20. Try to surf
21. Go somewhere in Tassie I have never been
22. Book in for a luxurious spa treatment
23. Go to Ikea
24. Eat something incredible that I have never tried before
25. Hit a golf ball (a real long hit, I’m not talking put put here!)
26. Have a ride in a hot air balloon
27. Try to snowboard
28. Spend my 30th birthday somewhere fab with my family and friends
29. Do a course in photoshop
30. Replace the wall of photos of Willow (otherwise known as the Shrine to Willow) with photos a little more representative of us as a family

So, HELP! If there is anything on this list that you could give me a hand with PLEASE le me know. Leave me a comment here or on my FB link. I would love you forever

{{Themey Thursday}} Babushka Bonanza

We love Babushka dolls in our house!  They are in the computer room (....I mean my studio....) in both of the girls' bedroom, my jewellery box and on the Lo & Lot logo too!

So of course it was going to be a party theme!  Funky and bright colours for a girl of any age and oh so trendy right now.

Here is the Lo & Lot Creations Babushka Bonanza Party invitation, as well as the coordinating cupcake toppers and favour bag topper.

And here is the Babushka round up from Madeit.com.au!

Babushka Doll Gift Boxes from Pixels Plus Paper
Babushka Candy Dress from Butterfly Mama Creations
Babushka earrings from another Tassie maker Apooki.  I have these in hair slides wear them all the time!

Pink Babushka hair clip from Chelle Belle
And I think these litlle Babushka finger puppets bu Mulberry Road are the greatest and would make the perfect litlle party favour.

And what would a party be without cake and cookies (or what would a blog post by me be without the mention of food...)

Gorgeous cake from the Sweetiers Exquisite Cakes blog
Babushka cookies by one of my favourite blogs Bubble and Sweet
And in case you are feeling adventurous, here are the biscuit cutters from bisk-art so you can DIY.  I would so love to be able to ice biscuits!

Next week I promise a boy theme.  Any requests?

{{Themey Thusday}} Owls

I have always loved reading and I am really not fussy about what I read.  I'm an aquarius after all.  Books are obviously my favourite type of reading material, but coming a close second (or maybe a third, 'cause a magazine with a cup of tea and a moment to myself rocks too) is clicking and tapping my way throughout the virtual world of the internet and being inspired by the amazingly talented people out there doin' their thing.  Throw in a bit of shopping plus the feelgoodedness of knowing that you are supporting Australian designers and crafters and we have Madeit.  Themey Thursday loves Madeit too, and each week there will be a little showcase of finds that would go great with the theme of the week from Madeit as well as a few randoms from near and far.

So with that said, lets move on to the theme that started it all; Owls!  This is the invitation that I designed for Willow's party.  Bright and funky for a girl of any age or soft blues and browns are available for a gorgeous little boys party.  Check out Willow's Owl Party Pics here for lolly bag toppers, cupcake toppers and pennant banners to match!

And Owls are perfect for a baby shower.  This is by far Lo & Lot's most popular baby shower invitation.

And if you are planning a spectacular Owl Party of any description, make sure you order any little extras from Lo & Lot Creations and check out these other goodies

Gorgeous Party dress for the birthday girl from here, magnets for favour bags from here, fabric bunting doubles as a gorgeous keepsake for a boys room here , and Night Owl pillow from here.

Owl Cookies, Hair Bands - from lovely fellow Tassie Girl Itty Bitty, Owl origami, Owl Colouring In, Coloured Straws
